- Chicken - 1 kg cut into medium size
- Onion - 500 gm (Peeled)
- Ginger - 50 gm
- Garlic - 8-10 cloves
- Tomatoe - 250 gms (Chopped)
- Fresh Fenugreek Leaves - 500 gms
- Garam Masala Powder - 1 Tsp
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Powder & Salt - To taste
- Green Chilli - 8-10
- Mustard oil - 2 tbsp
Method:-
- 1.Make a paste of onion,ginger & garlic.Keep aside.
- 2.Clean the chicken pieces. Add salt & turmeric powder. Mix & keep aside.
- 3.Clean the the methi leaves & remove the leaves & keep aside..
- 3 Heat oil in the vessel, add garam masala powder & saute for a minute .Add tomatoe,onion,ginger & garlic paste and green chilli and saute for 3-4 mts or till it starts leaving oil.
- Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder & salt & saute for 2 minutes.
- 4.Add the chicken pieces and mix well.Cook on medium high flame for 3-4 minutes.Reduce flame,add one cup water & place lid and let the chicken cook till two third done.
- 6 Add methi leaves and mix well.Add few tbsps of water if needed at this point of time.Cook till the chicken turns tender and you get the gravy consistency of your choice.It should be a thick creamy gravy.
- 7 Turn off heat and serve hot with white rice, biryani, flavoured rice or rotis.
