Beyond the forever silence ?Theories counter explanations supporting the existence of Soul..

Scientists, philosophers and psychologists who have put their research views in support of existence of a conscious factor beyond the death of this biological body use NDE as the best and convincing phenomena to prove their hypothesis. However it is quite difficult to work out for the evidences supporting the existence of soul through NDE, as the normal scientific parameters like physiology and psychology can’t explain the term “soul”. For example ,as we switch on a radio or television we can see, hear and enjoy several moving pictures ,music ,sounds but when we switch off we can no more perceive those programs .Switching off our own television or radio simply doesn’t mean the end of those programs everywhere. The wireless waves of different frequencies still exists in the surrounding atmosphere but are unable to be exhibited as the electronic devices are switched off. More or less this logic is the explanation to convincing the existence of conscious soul in relation to our biological body. According to; Prof.. Greyson , it may be an utter stupidity to prove and perceive the existence of soul through the limited sphere of materialistic scientific parameters like psychology , physiology, physics, biochemistry etc. According to medical science, in complete clinical death ,the brain is a mere inert nonliving entity like a loaf of flesh .In that inert piece of flesh the phenomenon like hallucination ,euphoric dreaming ,divinely feelings, paranormal experiences like God, angels ,devils etc. are impossible to occur. What events happen in NDE are the exhibition of an intelligent element of consciousness and may be compared with that of an alert sense of hidden existence but according to the parameters of medical science the brain and mind with clinical death can’t exhibit such experiences like a normal living one.

If the NDE is explained as a hallucination in term of neurosurgeons and psychiatrists, then how come so accurate facts and figures come to blind people who have came across this rare weird phenomenon? Dr. Kenneth Ring and Sharon Cooper completed a two-year study into the NDEs of the blind. They published their findings in a book entitled “Mind sight” in which they documented the solid evidence of 31 cases in which blind people report visually accurate information obtained during an NDE. In these cases the congenitally blind people could describe the exact face and figure of their previously dead relatives, able to describe the dress colors of the doctors and the assistants in the ICU/OT unit. These are the particularly clear instances of how NDEs of the congenitally blind can unfold in precisely the same way as do those of sighted persons. During their NDE they got a clear review of their whole life starting from birth and got an instruction to go back into their body to live again.

The theory of hypoxia or “lack of oxygen supply to brain causes the NDE” is an unsatisfactory explanation which doesn’t hold a strong scientifically logical explanation .The fact is that in many medical emergency cases the brain related hypoxia doesn’t produce any NDEs .The Shock or the lack of perfusion of oxygen to the brain is very common in many medical situations. It is only when the heart stops beating and breathing stops and the body appears to be dead that NDEs occur. This simple observation puts the hypoxia-related theories into question.

Another explanation for the theory

is only a mere “to be managed” unfulfilled argument .So many patients for many sorts of critical illness receive dopamine through the intravenous root in high concentration but seldom a case of NDEs happen to occur. Regarding Endorphins a hormone which is not at all associated with the traumatic injuries yet NDEs seems to appear in those medical emergency cases where accident was a prime cause. This seems to indicate that endorphins are not the sole cause of NDEs .Also individuals who are obsessed by the drugs like L.S.D ,Marijuana often remains in a senseless or semiconscious state but they do not often hurdle into any NDEs. In India the Hindu yogis were able to achieve the out of body experiences through the practice of meditation. They were able to achieve this without the help of any drugs or narcotics. These yogis were belonging to a hyper intellect stage of mind and consciousness which was very necessary to achieve the enlightenment. These yogis were out of any greed and extravaganzas related to this materialistic world and were also leading a benevolent life. So the theory of endocrines and other hormones as a cause of NDEs are not itself a convincing hypothesis.

In those cases of NDEs where individuals were declared as clinically died were came to live again .These individuals were experienced a divine feelings, they were able to meet and talk with the dead relatives whom they were never in touch in their life time .They could describe almost the exact figure and name, age of those dead relatives which was affirmed to be true by their old parents and relatives. Some of them even able to forecast the events of future which was also hold out to be true. Dr. Raymond Moody and his associates have observed a sudden turn of changes in personality in individuals who were passed through the NDEs. Those persons became more optimistic, benevolent, fearless and very active in their daily life. In fact they become more spiritual and philosophical in their life. Most of them lead a better and healthier life than the previous stage prior to the incident of NDE. In 1975, Dr. Raymond Moody published a book entitled “Life after Life” which described his findings from his study on near-death experiences. Moody recorded and compared the experiences of 150 persons who died, or almost died, and then recovered. Dr.Moody’s research work was based upon these concrete clinical evidences which are inevitable and significant contribution to this human society and medical science. His research outcomes and theories are worldwide accepted and approved till date.

These are the outlines:-

1. NDEs happen to people of all races, genders, ages, education, marital status, and social class.

2. Religious orientation is not a factor.

3. People are convinced of the reality of their NDE experience.

4. Drugs do not appear to be a factor.

5. NDEs are not hallucinations.

6. NDEs often involve unparalleled feelings.

7. People lose their fear of death and appreciate life more after having an NDE.

8. People’s lives are transformed after having an NDE.

In conclusion and with a view of pragmatic approach,

Some animals can’t perceive or identify many colors like us and research of zoologists reveals that some aquatic creatures can recognize and identify innumerable variety of colors beyond the capacity of human beings. Animals like dog, cow, rat and snake can anticipate the forthcoming natural disasters like earthquake, storm or flood but still we human beings rely upon the scientific instruments to predict those. According to the scientific theories of veteran scientists like Prof. Michio Kaku ,Elbert Einstein , Stephen hawking and also Swami Vivekananda,Pandit Shiv Kumar Sahstri , Yogi Aurovindo have already convinced that

There are may be 4th 5th and 6th …….. and many more dimensions which are beyond the power of human intelligence and physical , technological capacity . So it may be a foolish, egoistic logic to believe or accept the world and this universe as per our limited capacity of perception. This universe may be far more elaborated beyond our capacity of imagination and scientific endeavor. Our law of physics may not be applicable in every dimensions of this virtually visible universe and who knows after physical death our conscious astral or ethereal subtle body goes to some other parallel dimension?
