Spread the love

[box_warning]Death is inevitable and unavoidable .[/box_warning],                       [pullquote_left] Writer-Dr.Subhransu Sekhar  Mishra  (Ph.D.research fellow in diabetes) [/pullquote_left]It is the unambiguous phenomenon which will happen for sure in everybody’s life. Hearing and talking about death always has been an eye closing ignorable matter. Seeing a dead body or thinking about death is a most hair raising and a spine chilling experience for most of us. We never want to accept the unpalatable truth that one day each of us individual will have to be engulfed into the embrace of death. In fact we never want to lose any of our close kith and kin or relative forever .We want the soothing and caring, heartiest loving people to accompany us forever and for whole life. In spite of all the facts and reality a common man, whichever corner of earth he may belongs, ask himself a never answered mystic question; what happens to all of those beings after their death? What happens to the conscious element in our body? Is there any existence of soul there after? Is death means end of all the dramatic movements in a life of an individual, screen played in this limited sphere of so called lively world? Can we entrust upon the belief about the existence of an factor called “soul”? Question also peeps into our mind that; whether the death of body also means the death of our conscious being forever from this lively world? According to all the religions in this world; there is no conflict regarding the existence of an immortal soul? But according to science the answer is quite explicit and steeply lead to the verdict that “there is no such proof or scientific explanation which can nurture the belief of eternal and immortal soul”  .According to science our body is made up of the earthly elements and all these matters and  elements are nonliving although they contribute a vital role in the physiological and functional role in the living cells, tissues and organs .Our body is the manifestation  of complex internal  cascades played by the biochemical ,chemical arrays of hormones ,neurons ,various categories of tissues and physiological processes .

[pullquote_left]Body is a self auto animated object which ceases all its function both in organic and cellular level after a certain time period of lively activities. [/pullquote_left]With the destruction of body   so is the forever extinction of the individual’s personality which was once the occupant of that body. According to this materialistic hypothesis by scientists the belief in the “conscious soul” beyond the destruction of the body is a mere imagination based upon pseudo truth. The faith and belief upon the existence of immortal soul always has been tiding with the postulation of hypothesis and counter hypothesis put in different time by both the sect of supporter and non supporter of the Soul’s existence theory. To get a concrete evidence wise proof regarding the true existence of soul is a matter of debate and research for different sects of scientists from all over the world. So many doctors, biologists, psychologists, neuroscientists and scientists from different cross sections of allied medical and biological science are now trying hard to solve the jigsaw puzzle of this mysterious factor by gathering various trust worthy scientific experiments .However till date scientists neither could disprove nor approved about the theory of existence of a “conscious soul” beyond the physical death of an individual.

[quote]Scientists are still in option for a reliable and flawless module and medium to make research and analysis to get the conclusive and convincing evidences for the existence of soul. [/quote],Now scientists from every corner of earth are relying upon the near death experiences or NDE as the most trustworthy and suitable phenomenon as the basic medium to trace the existence of the forever conscious soul or spirit. These phenomena are usually reported after an individual has been pronounced clinically dead or otherwise very close to death, hence the term near-death experience.  There are several examples of incidents where persons declared as dead according to all the norms and parameters of medical science but miraculously and stunningly they again came back into the life and lead a very normal and healthy life after that. These blue moon experiences harbored by several individuals from different corners of the world are reported and recorded by the scientists and this phenomenon is not confined to any specific religion or ethnic community, belief etc. Those people who happened to have this unusual experience were not insane or physically, socially abnormal people but they were related to of very highly educated and intellectually rich sect of society.  According to a statistical survey report conducted by the researchers from all over the world , from the total cases of NDE only 18% of individuals could recall and explain about all the experiences they had during the NDE period and 82% although passed through the NDE couldn’t able to recall.

Prof.. Bruce Greyson, M.D. ( Professor of Psychiatry University of Virginia)has conducted several research and published numerous data related articles in various journals based upon his research work and conclusive postulation of NDE hypothesis . Bruce Greyson is a researcher in the field of near-death studies and has been called the father of research in NDE( near-death experiences).Bruce Gryeson and several scientists have summarized the general features of NDE. The common  characteristically uniform  traits are as below :-

  1. Receiving messages in telepathic form.
  2. A sense/awareness of being dead and  feeling of being removed from the world
  3. A sense of peace, well-being and painlessness, optimistic visions.
  4. An out-of-body experience. A perception of one’s body from an outside position. Sometimes observing doctors and nurses performing medical resuscitation efforts.
  5. A “tunnel experience”. Passing through a densely dark tunnel with a source of light from the other end of the tunnel. A sense of moving up, or through, a passageway or staircase.
  6. A rapid movement toward and/or sudden immersion in a powerful light suffused with peace love and solacing care. Communication with the light.
  7. An intense feeling of unconditional love.
  8. Encountering “Beings of Light”, “Beings dressed in white”, or other spiritual beings. Also, the possibility of being reunited with deceased loved ones.
  9. Being given a life review.
  10. Being presented with knowledge about one’s life and the nature of the universe.
  11. A decision by oneself or others to return to one’s body, often accompanied by a reluctance to return.

May be an effect manipulated autonomously in the experiences in NDE and between the cultural, spiritual beliefs etc. where one lives. These seem to mould what is experienced in the NDE or how it is manifested afterwards.

Dr.Melvin Morse(MD pediatrician , Washington, DC, United States)  was the first scientist to conduct and record the NDE research observations in children. He has completed and postulated several conclusive evidences through several clinical research findings in children. Directly or indirectly Dr.Morse’s research work indicates the presence of eternal, immortal ethereal body/soul which may surpass the death of this materialistic physical body. Still there remains conflict regarding the “belief of existence of conscious soul” with both the supporter and non supporter sects with their own undeniable scientifically logical explanations which counter each other’s theories.
