STATE CABINET RATIFIES THE ODISHA GREEN ENERGY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION (OREDA)

Reported by Abhijit Acharya :- Odisha government green-signals an exclusive PSU (Public Sector Undertaking) body christened Green Energy Development Corporation to facilitate the ubiquity of Green Energy in Odisha. The agenda of the aforementioned corporation will be to give fillip multiple number of renewable energy projects and energy generations. Odisha Green Energy Development Corporation will also be synergistic with the OHPC (Odisha Hydro Power Corporation). After the inception of Odisha Green Energy Corporation, the state has been endeavoring to generate 16,230 Mega Watt of green energy. Out of the aggregate 16,230 Mega Watt of green energy, solar power, wind energy, biomass, small hydro projects & waste to energy projects will generate 14000 Mega Watt,1700 Mega Watt,350 Mega Watt,160 Mega Watt and 20 Watt respectively.
