The recipient of the highest award of India bharat ratna sri pandit rabisankar is no more.Bharat Ratna Sitar Maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar died on December 11,2012 at about 16.30 Pacific Time at San Diego,California at the age of 92. Today (11-12-2012) morning he was passed away. He performed his final concert with Daughter Anoushka on November 4,2012 with perfect unison at the Terrace Theatre in Long Beach,California.Pandit Ravi Shankar gave new identity to Indian Classical Music & sold Brand India better than anyone else. He was a true global Ambassador of Indian Music.His death is an irreparable loss not only to Indian Music but also to the whole world of Music.Our deep condolences to Sukanya,Anouska & other family members at this our .RIP PANDIT RAVI SHANKAR For his inborn quality as a sitarist he was called god father of sitar. On his sad demise and irreparable loss. From 1986 to 1992, he served as a nominated member of Rajya Sabha. He continued to perform in the 2000s, often with his daughter Anoushka.

The international sand artist and sand animator mr manas kumar sahoo has create a sand sculpture weighing about 10 tones of sand to pay tribute on his death. This sculpture created at the golden sea beach attracted the attention of thousands of viewers, art lovers, local people and foreigners. All were full of praise and the timely tribute made by Mr Manas Kumar Sahoo.
