Coconut Paneer Stuffed Sweet Idli (Pura Dia Idli)
Ingredients:
- 1 Urad dal( white) 1 cup
- 2 Rice rawa 2 Cup
- 3 Jaggery 1 /2Cup
- 4 Cardamom Powder 1 /4 table spoon
- 5 Backing soda Pinch
- 6 Salt to taste
- 7 Ghee 1 table spoon
- 8 Panner (Chenna) 1 cup
Preparation:
- Wash and soak the urad dal for 6 hours & grind into a smooth paste.
- Soak the rawa for about 1/2 hours. Wash & drain completely. Add to the urad dal paste along backing soda, salt & keep aside for 7 hours. Don’t let it become sour.
- Heat a pan, add ghee followed with the Jagger & allow it to melt. Add the greated coconut & stir fry for 5 min. Sprinkle the cardamom powder, then add the paneer & mix well.Remove from the stove.
- 4.Grease the idli plates with little oil.Pour a little batter into the holes. Add coconut panner filling followed with more batter to cover it.
- Put the idli plates inside the idli stand & steam for 15 minutes
- Let it cool for sometimes, take it out with a butter knife.
- Serve hot with Ghuguni / Chutney
