Odisha Assembly Budget 2013- 14 revealed
Reported by Abhijit Achary : Notwithstanding the pandemonium in the assembly , State finance minister Prasanna Acharya has presented a supererogatory budget of Rs. 60,303.09 Crore for the fiscal year 2013-14. This happens to be the first instance in which the budget for agrarian and allied sectors has been sequestered from the main budget. The budget of the fiscal year 2012-13 has been escalated 16 % in the fiscal year of 2013-14.
The total outlay for the fiscal years 2012-13 and 2013-14 happen to be Rs. 52,030.70 Crore and Rs. 60,303.09 Crore respectively. According to state FM , Mr. Acharya, Ofisha has earned the reputation of being the second state in the country after Karnataka to devote a sequestered agrarian and allied sector budget. The interest payment to revenue receipt ration has been prognosticated to be at 9.76 of GSDP for 2013-14.
