Odisha Gets 869 Crores from Railway Budget in 2013-14
Reported by Abhijeet Acharya :- Union Railways Minister, Pawan Kumar Bansal has become the first congress minister to present Railways budget after an hiatus of 17 years . Furthermore the aforementioned Congress apparatchik sanctioned Rs. 869 Crores for Odisha , however Odisha Government solicited an allocation of Rs. 3050 Crore. Although there has been an escalation of the sanction amount as the same was Rs. 723 Crores in the fiscal year of 2012. Plans have been made for constructing a wagon manufacturing factory at Ganjam & a wagon maintenances workshop at Kalahandi. Here’s a list of the highlights of what is for Odisha in the Railways Budget of 2013 fiscal year :-
· Howdah-Chennai AC express via Bhadrak twice a week.
· Bhubaneswar-Nijammudin express via Sambalpur weekly
· Puri-Ajmer express via Abburoad weekly
· Vishakahapatna-Jodhpur express via Titilagarh weekly
· Puri-Sai Nagar Shiridi Express via Sambalpur,Titilagarh weekly
· Tirupati-Bhubaneswar Express via Vishakhapatana weekly
· Lokamanya Tilak express expansion will take place from Bhubaneswar to Puri
· Puri-Darbhanga express expansion will take place up to Jayanagar
· Bhubaneswar-Bhabanipatana express expansion will take place up to Junagarh
