Govt Got 4000 year old Skeliton excavated from Jatani
Report by Abhijit Achary : A congregation of Anthropologists & Paleontologists has been making a beeline to the excavation site in the vicinity of a village named Banga of Harirajapur, Jatani. A team of ASI(Archaeological Survey Of India) has successfully excavated a skeleton of Chalcolithic era which is conjectured to be of 3500 to 4000 years old. Professor Kishore Kumar Basa of the Department Of Anthropology, Utkal University & Professor R.K Mohanty of Deccan College, Pune has been spearheading the excavation procedure. The archaeological remains excavated from Banga are simulacra of the ones found in the Golabai of Harirajpur in the 1990s. However the skeleton will also be sent to the Birbal Sahani Institute of Paleobotany to determine its age through the carbon dating modus opernadi. Eight Number of Utkal University have also been helping the ASI team excavate the skeleton.
