All shops, markets and commercial establishments in Odisha will remain closed on February 18 in solidarity with jawans martyred in Pulwama terror attack.
Odisha traders association has decided to observe the bandh in protest against the deadliest terror attack in Pulwama of Jammu and Kashmir that killed at least 40 Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
In support of trade bandh call given by the Confederation of All India Traders, all commercial market will remain closed on February 18, said secretary of Odisha traders’ association Sudhakar Panda. There will be no business activity on the day, he added.
On February 18, all business establishments will remain closed from 6 am to 6 pm. Altogether 18 states across the country will observe trade bandh on the day, sources said.
Panda said all business federations are with the government in combating the terrorists. There is a need for strong action by the government to combat the menace.
