Lok Sabha elections: Odisha goes to poll in two phases on April 10 and April 17 #Odishanews #Electionnews
Elections to 21 Lok Sabha and 147 Assembly constituencies in Odisha will be held over two polling days – April 10 and April 17, the Election Commission of India announced today.
While 10 parliamentary segments – Aska, Bargarh,Berhampur, Bolangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal,Koraput,Nabarangpur,Sundargarh, Sambalpur – will go to the polls on April 10, the remaining 11 constituencies – Balasore, Bhadrak, Bhubaneswar Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jagatsinghpur, Jajpur, Keonjhar, Kendrapara and Puri – will witness voting on the final poll day.
Polling will simultaneously be conducted in 70 and 77 Assembly seats on the two scheduled dates respectively.
While the general elections across the nation will be conducted over nine poll days from April 7 to May 12, counting of votes will take place on May 16.
