Not letting disability come his way to realise his aspiration, a 45-year-old self-made youth of Nabarangpur who is working at Nabarangpur Block become an example for many differently-able persons in the district.
Wheel chair bound Neela Madhab Rath, Physically Challenged by polio in his legs when he was 5 years old. With his strong will power continued his study. He was extremely sharp in his studies after HSC from Papadahandi High School, went ahead to Plus II & degree in Economic Honours from Nabarangpur College. He was Champion for three years in debate, essay also elected as Literary Secretary of the college.
He was not sure what lay ahead for his future in the year 1993 selected for computer course in Shanta Memorial Rehabilitation Centre, (SMRC) Bhubaneswar. After successful complication he started working at St Xaviers School of Bhubaneswar.
With a goal to become self-employed started working at Desktop Publishing (DTP) Center of Utkalika Nabarangpur. In the year 1999 he was selected for post of Junior Clerk and recipient of numerous appreciations. He was the first computer professional with DTP of this district.
He was felicitated by the department of Social Security and Empowerment of persons with disability (SSEPD) on the occasion of International Day of Persons with disabilities at Bhubaneswar on Saturday. He was conferred state award as best employee with Rs.25000/-
