Bhubaneswar: As 16 district of odisha alerted because of cyclone hudhud , Odisha Govt has asked 16 district administrations to be on high alert for the possible cyclonic storm ‘Hudhud’, which is likely to hit Odisha (Goplapur) /Andhra coast on October 12.
The 16 districts to be on alert are Ganjam, Gajapati, Puri, Khurdha, Nayagarh, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Jajpur, Bhadrak,Balasore, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Dhenkanal, Malkangiri and Koraput.
Besides, the ODRAF and fire department have been told to remain prepared for relief and rescue operation, he added.
It has been decided to call the officials who are on leave. All the officers have been asked to remain present at their respective places.
Meanwhile, the well-mark low pressure formed over Andaman sea has turned into Depression which is located 1380 km south-east of Gopalpur. The Depression will move in a west-northwesterly direction and intensify into a Deep Depression within next 24-hours, weather forecasting department said.
