Biju Janata Dal (BJD) supremo and Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik made a whirlwind electoral tour of Malkangiri, Koraput and Nabarangpur district on Sunday.
He used helicopter to hop from place to place to attend campaign seven meetings Jeypore, Chitrokonda, Malkangiri, Nabarangpur, Dabugam, Umerkote and Jharigam assembly constituencies of Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur district.
First he reached at Boriguma, addressed an election rally in the area, then he addressed public at Malkangiri and Chitrokonda, assembly constituencies of Nabarangpur Parliamentary constituency. He reached Karchamala, of Nabarangpur at 1.30 PM. In his address he highlighted various developmental programmes under taken by his government in the state in the last 14 years. He further said our party election manifesto targeting all sections of society including farmers, youths, women, including the kutcha houses would be converted to pucca and all village roads would be made concrete roads if our party is voted to power again. He urged the public to vote for BJD candidate from Nabarangpur lok sabha constituency Balabhadra Majhi, and MLA candidate Manohar Randhari.
Among others district BJD General Secretary Asis Ranjan Patnaik, Rabi Patnaik, Nabarangpur Block Chairman, Beda Bhatra, Tentulukhunti Block Chairperson Prabhati Kandha, Sabitri Majhi, Chairperson Jogendra Swain, Vice-chairman of Kosagumuda, were present at the meeting.
After lunch Naveen flew to Kantagam under Dabugam assembly constituency addresses the public for the BJD MLA candidate Motiram Nayak, and Nabarangpur Lok Sabha candidate Balabhadra Majhi.
He addressed election rallies at Hatabharandi under Umerkote assembly constituency for MLA candidate Subash Gond, and Jharigam constituency to electorate MLA candidate Ramech Chandra Majhi, and MP candidate Balabhadra Majhi. He called upon the voters to vote for the BJD elaborating the developmental projects taken up by his government for tribals and dailts Stating that the people had extended their wonderful support to the BJD in the past, hoped they would again do so in the ensuring elections as well to help BJD carry out all-round development of the state, including Nabarangpur..
All these six assembly segments in Nabarangpur district and Malkangiri coved by the BJD chief under the Nabarangpur parliamentary constituency. From Jharigam he flew to Junaghar of Kalahandi to attend road show with a night halt at Bhabanipatna.
