Non-resident Odia Mr Kunna Dash International Tourism Ambassador of Kyoto, Japan got this rare privilege to meet Mrs Akie Abe (First Lady of the Prime Minister of Japan) promoting Odisha Culture & Trade
An NRI has never forgotten his place of domicile even though he has been staying Japan for last 24 years. He put his efforts on the growth & development of Odisha, India. Born in a cultured bramhin family in Puri, he left for Japan long since & soon realized Odisha as the gate-way of south-east Asian nations.
Prior to our PM Sj Narendra Modiji’s official visit to Japan on 10th, 11th, and 12th Nov 2016, Mr Dash has got the rare privilege to meet Mrs Akie Abe( First Lady of the Prime Minister of Japan) and discussed with her about ‘Make in Odisha’ initiations scheduled to be launched next month in Dec 2016.
He discussed with her about the pilot program Make in Odisha conclave that Govt. of Odisha in collaboration with Dept. of Industrial Policy & Promotion(DIPP), Govt. of India is organizing at Bhubaneswar, Odisha during Nov 30 & Dec 02, 2016. The conclave shall focus on investment opportunities across the state. He also briefed her about Kokorozashi Art Project sent to Japan depicted by the students of his school Chandra Sekhar Academy, Puri, Odisha.
The project is all about heart-felt messages from students for world peace & to create an indestructible desire among them to make the world still a better place to live in. Kokorozashi clothes collected from all over the world shall be sewn together and unveiled at the stadium of Tokyo Olympic in 2020.
Mr Dash also presented her ‘Idols of Trinity’(Lord Jagannath, Prabhu Balabhadra, & Devi Subhadra) that stand symbolic to the religious sentiment of the people of Odisha, India. made her understand how the festive fervors of Gion festival in Kyoto resembles the Chariot festival of Puri, Odisha and more so how Lord Buddha is the 10th incarnation of Lord Jagannath.
Mr Kunna Dash also discussed with her on Buddhism shrines & monuments of Odisha that mostly attract religious pilgrims from Japan & south-east Asia. Besides religion & culture, both India & Japan shares a strong historic bond also before the advent of 2nd World Warards even. Japan has the technology & India has the natural resource and manpower.
Japan has the brilliant hardware technology & India is super in software. He also thanked her on behalf of India for the good relationship that has been fostered during their tenure. Let both the countries join together to make all these things happen in a big way. Besides these he is quite hopeful about the splendid meeting between two Prime Ministers of India & Japan.
