Nabakalebara Jatra 2015 from New Delhi to #Odisha to spread #Jagannath consciousness across the country #Nabakalebara #Puri #OdiaPua

ISJC in Association with ODIA PUA has Planning to arrange a Nation wide – Nabakalebara Yatra to spread Jaganath Consciousness across India.

Puri, the abode of Lord Jagannath, in Odisha is famous for car festival. Lord Jagannath like any ordinary living being changes his body in a unique ritual called  Nabakalebara that happens in a gap of twelve to fourteen years. The ritual involves death and rebirth of the trinity- lord Jagannath, Blabhadra and Subhadra. This year’s “Nabakalevara” is happening after a gap of 18 years in June, a month before the car festival in July. This years yatra at puri is expected to draw huge crowds from across the world.

ISJC in Association with ODIA PUA has Planning to arrange a Nation wide - Nabakalebara Yatra to spread Jaganath Consciousness across India.

Lord Jagannath is just not a Hindu deity. He is the lord of universe. In his culture, we find manifestation of all faith systems. He does not believe in sex, caste or religious divide. The practice in the temple is a true example of “Vasudheiva Kutumbakam” (whole earth is a family). The faith system believes in compassion, love and unity. Now an attempt is being made to hold a nation wide yatra to spread Jagannath consciousness in a joint effort by International Society for Jagannath Consciousness (ISJC) in association with ODIA PUA, a Delhi-based cultural organisation.

Nabakalebara Jatra  with a decorated Tableaux carrying the trinity, symbolically depicting the philosophy of lord Jagannath, will start from New Delhi on 1st May 2015 and culminate on 14th of June 2015, just before the Nabakalebara at Sri Jagannath Dham Puri, Odisha.
How to participate and who can participate:

It is very simple. Anybody, irrespective of caste, religion and sex, can join this move/procession in his/her own area and ensure participation of others and get a feel of Jagannath consciousness. Participants may organise cultural programmes in welcoming the tableaux , have programmes for spiritual talks as a part of this yatra. The devotees can follow the tableaux in their own vehicles like cars, buses and motorcycles etc.
