Khirachora Gopinatha Temple is situated in Remuna. It is a little town located 9 km east of Balasore, about halfway between Howrah and Bhubaneswar in Orissa .Khirachora means one who stole the milk bhog (ambrosia). Every aspect of the temple has a story attached to it, including the story behind the christening of the temple. It is believed that Shri Madhavendrapuri, one of the devout devotees of Lord Gopinath had once visited this temple.The “Biranchi Narayana”, “AstaDurga”, “Bhudhar Chandi” are some other temples located in that region.
Khirachora Gopinatha Temple (Oriya: କ୍ଷୀରଚୋରା ଗୋପୀନାଥ ମନ୍ଦିର୍} is in Remuna. It is a little town 9 km east of Balasore, about halfway between Howrah and Bhubaneswar in Odisha. The name “Remuna” is from the word “Ramaniya” which means very good-looking. “Khirachora” in Oriya means Stealer of Milk and Gopinatha means the Divine Consort of Gopis.

- The nearest train junction to Remuna is at Balasore, which is the first major town in Odisha coming from Calcutta .
